Editorial policy

No ads. No partnerships. No agenda.

How this portal works and why it matters for the information you read here.

Why independence matters here

Information about taxes, social contributions, and business registration carries real consequences. If a website recommends a particular accounting service because of a commercial arrangement, the recommendation is not neutral. If content is shaped to drive traffic toward a paid product, the framing of that content changes accordingly.

This portal operates without those pressures. There are no banner advertisements. No affiliate links to accounting software. No sponsored content from law firms or tax advisors. The information exists for one reason: to help foreigners understand how sole proprietorship works in Poland.

When financial decisions depend on what you read, the source of that writing matters more than the writing itself.

Editorial principle, Noxihe

What we compile and from where

Every factual claim on this portal traces back to a publicly accessible Polish government source. The primary sources are:

  • CEIDG (Centralna Ewidencja i Informacja o Działalności Gospodarczej) for registration procedures
  • ZUS (Zakład Ubezpieczeń Społecznych) for social and health insurance contribution rules
  • Ministerstwo Finansów for tax form options and income tax rates
  • Krajowa Administracja Skarbowa for VAT and invoicing requirements

When regulations change, we update the relevant content. Dates of last review are noted where changes are frequent.

How content is written

Each topic starts with the original government source. We read the actual regulation, the official FAQ, and the ZUS or Ministry guidance. Then we rewrite it in plain English without changing the meaning. We do not interpret. We do not advise. We describe.

What this is not

This is not tax advice. It is not legal advice. It is not accounting services. Nothing here constitutes a professional recommendation. If your situation involves specific complexity, consult a licensed Polish accountant (księgowy) or tax advisor (doradca podatkowy).

We include this disclaimer not as legal boilerplate but because it is genuinely true. Public information and personal advice are different things.

Corrections and updates

Polish tax law changes regularly. Contribution thresholds adjust annually. If you notice outdated information, please write to us at [email protected]. We take accuracy seriously and will review and correct any errors identified.
